What to do in Bright
Nestled in the heart of Victoria's Alpine Shire, with abundant accommodation, serious mountain town charm and the longest Rail Trail network in the Southern Hemisphere. Welcome to Bright, Victoria's High Country.
One of the most amazing features of the Bright region is the year round access to the outdoors, whether you Ski, Trail run, Fish, Hike, Ride Mountain bikes, enjoy Wineries and great food or enjoy riding the scenic rail trail. We really have it all, added we have a climate and community which supports this year round. Here at Chainstays Bike Hire we are here to support you.

Chainstays Hires and Delivers bikes straight to the doors of the best accommodation in the Bright region. We have partnered with and would recommend those providers listed below to create the most memorable hoilday moments.
Our favourite rides
There's something for everyone in the surrounding areas of Bright.
Local adventures
Bright to Porepunkah (6klm One Way)
Bright to Wandiligong (5.5klm One way)
Further afield.
Bright to Harrietville-Great Valley Trail (27klm One way)
Bright to Mrytleford (31klm One way)
Our Electric bikes have a range of up to 100klm and we've chosen models of bikes with large batteries to keep you rolling all day.
We recommend keeping an eye on the 'estimated range' feature on the bike's display to ensure you have plenty of battery power to get home. Range is affected by grade of trail, headwind and the amount of assistance the bike is providing.
Our Porto, Cargo bikes have a Max range of around 70klm.
As the Porto can carry 1 Adult and 2 Children its range is quite variable. If you're planning riding to Myrtleford and back (big day out!) we would recommend taking a charger and putting the bike on charge at your lunch stop. (let us know and we'll provide your a charger)

Ride High Country a visitors resource
Did you know there is a website and app dedicated to bike riding in the Victorian High Country? It has been created by Tourism North East and is a remarkable resource for anyone thinking of a trip up this way.
The website and app offer bike riding itineraries for everyone as well as accommodation options throughout the region, we would highly recommend checking it out.
