Your bike hire FAQ's answered
Is there a charge or extra cost for delivery?
There is no extra cost for delivery, it's included in the cost of the daily hire fee. So whatever the fee you see that's what you pay. Our business is online without a brick and mortar shop.
Where do Chainstays deliver?
We Hire and deliver bikes within the Greater area of Bright, meaning Porepunkah, Wandiligong and out to Freeburgh. Need bikes further afield? Get in touch via our contact page and let us know what you need, we will always assist where we can.
Which accommodation do we service?
We deliver to all Holiday accommodation in our area, that's Hotels, Motels, Holiday parks and Airbnb's. We also deliver to Porepunkah Airfield for those flying in.
Does Chainstays provide helmets?
Sure thing, we will provide an Australian Standard helmet with every bike and by law it must be worn when riding. With Kids bikes we will bring along multiple helmet sizes to ensure a great fit and if you hire the Porto Electric cargo bike we provide childrens helmets for your passengers.
How do I know which bike size to choose?
Some bikes are One size fits all, if that's the case there will only be one size to choose from. Where a size choice is available, ie. Small, Medium, Large (this refers to bike's size) choose the size which is best suited to your height. In each category we show you the range for which the bike size is suited. On the booking page we also ask for each Rider's height so we can correctly set a comfortable saddle height.
Do we offer half day and multi day rental?
We have found most visitors to Bright Hire bikes on average for one day so this is what we focus on. If you would like multi day hire simply get in touch with us here and we will do our best to accommodate your bike hire requirements. For multi day hires, you will need safe and secure bike storage for our bikes.
Do I need to be at my accomodation when the bikes are delivered and collected?
Yes, our staff will need to sight the Drivers license used to make your booking please have it handy when we drop off your bikes, we will also give you a quick rundown on how your bikes work and answer any last minute questions you may have. We won't keep you long as we know you will be super keen to get out for a ride. As for collection, again yes we require the guest who made the booking to be available when the bikes are collected. For both drop off and collection we aim to complete in under 10 minutes at your accommodation so we don't mind if you're enjoying a morning coffee at drop off or a glass of wine when we collect. It's all about convenience for you.
Are the Hire Bikes Insured?
Chainstays offers and recommends our Damage Waiver insurance which covers most accidental damage to the hire bikes up to the value of $250. The Insurance is very reasonable andcosts $10 per non-Electric bike and $15 for our Electric bike per day of hire. You can find all the information for the waiver insurance here.
